Snowy Hiking

I've been wanting some snow forEVER, and here it is! These are from our daily hike when we're home in Portland. Looks a bit different in the snow:

In the sequoia grove:

Okay and here's a shot I took this morning:

And here's almost the same shot I took three days ago because of how crazy green it was:

We got about 4 inches yesterday afternoon and we're supposed to get about 4 more today/tonight. Sweet!

  1. Hello!
Being a professional photographer, every once in a while, I peek in on various Airstream blogs… and well… this group of photos is among the best.
    Congratulations… they are truly superb.

I would be more than happy to send you some of the snow we have in Michigan! I think the first flake that fell in November is still on my front lawn.

  3. Thank you so much, Gene. (Also, see my other website here for credentials: http://www.domela.com). πŸ™‚
These were all taken with my little Fuji x100s, except for the last (color) shot, which was with my trusty iPhone. πŸ™‚
    Glad you enjoyed them!

  4. Oh Kim, I know how that must be. πŸ™
Also, I was born in Alaska, where snow is not a novelty. At all. It was all the years in Southern California that re-enamored me with the pretty pretty white stuff.
