Last night's dinner was fabulous. Jimella and Nanci's Market Cafe in Klipsan Beach on the Long Beach Peninsula. Pan-fried Willapa Bay oysters, caesar salad, a glass of semillon, then both entree specials: wine-poached halibut with house-made tartar sauce, prawns and scallops with a brandy cream sauce, glass of syrah. Dessert: chocolate many-layered ganache cake (decadent), and the other one is too hard to describe (or remember all the ingredients) but it was incredible and maybe even better than the chocolate one (shocking!!). A lovely meal.
We may need to go back there tomorrow for lunch because OMG HOW GOOD DO THESE SOUND??
Willapa Burger – Homemade bun, Piedmontese beef, sauteed mushrooms, gruyere cheese, bacon and sour cream.
Shrimp and Dungeness Crab Melt – Served on ciabatta roll with melted provolone cheese.
Crab Mac and Cheese – Creamy Tillamook cheese and fresh Dungeness crab.
