Dinner at Monty’s in Coconut Grove

After work I met up with Craig and Karen and their boys for dinner at Monty's in Coconut Grove. Gorgeous view of the marina.

We ordered an appetizer of conch fritters because you know, look where we are! However, according to this recent article in the Miami Herald, a federal endangered-species study of the mollusk is going on right now and could mean the days of conch fritters are numbered. Glad I tried 'em…they were good!

    I have had conch several times and felt it tasted like lobster except very tough and chewy.
