We went about 15 miles in the Columbia today…out toward Astoria for about 2 hours (we could see the bridge from where we were), then back to Skamokawa, which only took 45 minutes. We were haulin' (10.6 mph top speed). Huge swells on the way back…and tons of fun surf/sailing…
Comments closedWe got in late(ish) yesterday and had some work to do so didn't make it up to the potluck, but we heard it was all decorated so we walked up later last night to see it all lit up: This morning we're trying to finish up our work for the…

1 CommentWe'll be back here next week for an Airstream kayak rally, so it's not as hard to leave today as it would be otherwise. Also, The Ship Report is a great resource for keeping track of what passes in front here. (Posted by Laura)
Comments closedWe cracked and ate most of our fresh crab (using heavy duty crescent wrench, foreground, as cracker) for dinner tonight outisde on the picnic table. I made a dipping sauce with mayonaise and madras curry mustard…perfect with the fresh crab. We have some leftovers that we'll add to some eggs…
Comments closedThis is the awesome poster for the Lewis & Clark National Historic Park, Clark's Dismal Nitch (and how awesome is the URL http://www.nps.gov/lewi/planyourvisit/dismal.htm??). I can't find anywhere online to buy these posters (sadly) and I really REALLY think they need to make t-shirts. How much money could they make for the National…
