Dusk at Champoeg Park

We had a lovely time at Champoeg Park last night camping with family. The weather was gorgeous. We cooked up some barbecued chicken, spicy black beans, and grilled asparagus and built a great campfire for the delicious s'mores we made. We ended up going traditional, with the exception of some good dark chocolate we substituted for Hershey's milk chocolate. A good upgrade!

This morning we got up and I made breakfast for everyone: a mushroom and spinach scramble with sides of fresh star tomato slices, avocado, and turkey sausages. We played some frisbee in the field and packed up and headed out by checkout time.

Home for two days. Next stop: Skamokawa Vista Park for some sailing, some relaxing, and some work (of course).
