<p>There are several miles of trail here at the <a href="http://www.parks.wa.gov/564/Penrose-Point" target="_blank"><strong>Penrose Point State Park</strong></a> (and a campground plus a bunch of day use areas), and the trail meanders through some gorgeous forest with occasional peeks out to the rock- and shell-covered shore.</p>

<p>Also, I learned (from a helpful sign along the trail) that sand dollars live in communities of up to 500 individuals per square yard. (!!!)&#0160;</p>
