<p>Floating down the river in innertubes is super fun in the summer. (However, since I just saw a snake swimming on the edge of the river right outside the Airstream window this morning, I don&#39;t think I&#39;ll be in the river in anything that any of my limbs hang through into the water from here on.) <img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/13.1.0/72x72/1f642.png" alt="🙂" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /></p>

<p>There are tons of little shops (many with cute &#8211;albeit punny &#8212; names, like &quot;Gruene With Envy&quot;) lining the the street. (Mom, you&#39;d love this place! Minus the puns of course.)</p>

<p>We saw this guy pulling his barbeque trailer as we headed over to New Braunfels, and as we passed the Comal County Fairgrounds a few minutes later, we noticed that Saturday is the <strong><a href="http://comalcountyfair.org/default.aspx" target="_blank">BBQ Cookoff at the Comal County Fair</a></strong>. Guess where we&#39;re going for lunch?</p>
