The Great Spruce Trail, Cape Perpetua

Yesterday early evening we did the hike from Cape Perpetua in to see the Great Spruce. Here's the green I promised earlier.

This is not The Great Spruce, just a fairly large tree:

The leaves on these plants are HUGE. They look like plants from a movie about dinosaurs:

The Great Spruce is 40 ft in diameter and over 185 ft tall.

Nice hike through old growth forest, no wind (unlike the 30kts at the beach yesterday!), two miles(ish) round trip.

The light was nice and silvery on our Airstream when we got back to our campsite:
