We found another spot not too far from home called Milo McIver State Park. It's wooded and pretty and there's a big reservoir there that looks like it might be good for kayaking.

We stayed here for a couple days but moved back to Champoeg on Tuesday morning to finish up newsletters because our internet at MiloMcIver wasn't so hot.
