We had waffles twice a year … turkey and waffles for Xmas and chicken and waffles for Easter. But our chicken wasn’t fried and we didn’t put the turkey or chicken on top of the waffles. Instead, we made the waffles from scratch, scraped some butter on top of them like toast, and added a sprinkling of sugar. The waffles were more like a side than part of the main course. And they were delicious. Try it, you’ll like it!
