But our chicken wasn&#039;t fried and we didn&#039;t put the turkey or chicken on top of the waffles. Instead, we made the waffles from scratch, scraped some butter on top of them like toast, and added a sprinkling of sugar. The waffles were more like a side than part of the main course.
